The assessment objective of Postal Exam 955 is to evaluate a candidate’s aptitude related to mechanical and electrical skills. 5) How is Postal Exam 955 Structured?

The Postal Exam 955 is conducted in two parts.

a) Personal Characteristic and Experience Inventory Session

In this session you will be given a set of one hundred and twenty questions that need to be answered in 75 minutes. The answers to the questions will help the examiner in assessing the suitability of the applicant for the specific job.  

Your answers should be honest and free of any intent to manipulate the examiner. This is the best strategy to pass this session of the conducted exam.

b) The Technical Assessment Session

This session will test your technical knowledge in the field of expertise and it is divided into two sections:

• The first section is called Multicraft Section. You will be provided with a set of sixty MCQs that you will need to answer in an hour. It will test your knowledge on an extensive spectrum of technical topics, requiring you to dig deep into your electrical and mechanical concepts.

• The second section is called Spatial Relations Section. In this section the examiner will assess your ability to identify different elements of a solution and how to arrange them together to find the answer to the given question. All the answers need to be the schematic illustrations of the solution. You don’t need to draw them but pick the option from an already provided list of visual alternatives.     

The USPS Postal Exam 955 is an important step in the hiring process for selecting the candidates that could serve the organization in a productive way. It not only tests the basic levels of cognitive behavior but also urges a candidate to explore higher levels of Bloom’s Taxonomy.
